Airport Security: What Slows People Down
Share
Most delays at security come down to a handful of avoidable habits: liquids not separated into a clear bag, laptops buried at the bottom of a case instead of in an easily accessible sleeve, belts and jewellery left on until the last second. A little preparation removes almost all of it. Keep liquids in one clear, resealable pouch near the top of your bag. Keep your laptop or tablet in an outer compartment you can access without unpacking everything. Wear slip-on shoes when you can, and have your boarding pass and ID out before you reach the queue, not still buried in a bag. None of this is complicated — it just needs to become habit, the same way you'd check you have your keys before leaving the house.
